This is session 1 of 3 to revitalize the Nickajack Elementary Garden. This first session focuses on preparing the garden space for transformation. Participants will trim overgrown trees and bushes, remove weeds and debris, and complete a full site clean-up. The team will also dig up and relocate existing cinder blocks, then begin laying out the new garden structure. This session lays the groundwork for everything to come and creates an immediate impact on the space. What to Bring/Wear: Closed-toe shoes, work clothes, gloves recommended, water bottle Participants are encouraged to bring their shovels, hedge trimmers, and other gardening tools. Note: There will be no access to restrooms or inside facilities.
